Fair Work with Wind&Bones

Wind&Bones CIC is committed to the principles of the Fair Work Convention and to working within the Fair Work framework, according to the principles of effective voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment and respect. This is in line with the Fair Work First guidance of the Scottish Government.

Further to this, we also work within Creative Scotland’s Fair Work guidelines ensuring that artists, writers and contractors with whom we work are properly compensated for their work, and given an effective voice.

As an organisation working within the field of literature, we set our rates of pay for the writers with whom we work making reference to the current guidance from the Society of Authors. As a Scotland-based organisation which works internationally, this is our baseline reference when working outside of the UK. However, when working elsewhere, when local guidance recommends higher rates, we use this local guidance as a base-line.
